Our team name is supposed to be "TEAM VENTURE", not Rusty Venture. (we aren't total perverts)
Tim.

GJ (GJ's Grill On Wheels) Has generously agreed to be on hand Friday Night for the Enduro races
Both his food and prices are excellent and he is a big supporter of the club and the hobby, so I hope we can all thank him by grabbing a Chessburger or Sausage Friday Night and make it worth his while to be on hand!
Looking forward to seeing you all there!

It looks like Team Venture is down to two drivers. Joe will be unable to make it to the event.
I'll wait until JB gets back from California to see if we are going to look for a 3rd member, or try and sling it with just the 2 of us.

Is this body acceptable? I've got a new unpainted one here, so if we can use that it would be cool.

With the 500 lap Team Enduro race less than 2 weeks away, I thought I would post an update regarding the rules for this race.
CHASSIS: any 1/10 scale, 190mm, 4WD electric touring car chassis. You must complete the entire race with the same chassis. BATTERY: any 2 cell Lipo or 6 cell Ni-cd / Ni-Mh. Maximum 5600mAh, limit of 4 batteries per team. MOTOR: 540 size, Brushless 21.5 or Tamiya Silver Can. ESC: any electronic speed control with NO ADVANCED TIMING OR BOOST. (Blinky mode) No reverse allowed. FDR: your Final Drive Ratio must be at least 4.0 and this will be checked at the post-race inspection. TIRES: 1/10 scale rubber touring car tires only. Limit of 2 sets per team. BODY: any 190mm or 200mm Super Touring body. Light Kits must be installed and operational. No Race-Style bodies allowed (ie: Mazda 6, LTC-R, R9, etc.) If in doubt, ASK. RACE LENGTH: first team to complete 500 laps.
TECH INSPECTION will be done before AND after the race. Your chassis, batteries, and tires will be tagged at the pre-race inspection and these tags must be intact at the conclusion of the event. Any team that does not comply with the rules will be disqualified.
If you have any questions, please ask. We are open to any suggestions.
These rules are in place to keep the competition fair for everyone. Good luck to all participants.

The registration / check-in process will be a little more involved for the 500 lap enduro. When you come up to the registration table, we will need you to present your car, the 4 battery packs you will be using, and the 2 sets of tires you will be using. These items will be tagged and will be the only items you can use during the race. Also, you will need to provide the following information on the registration sheet:
TEAM NAME - this will be used to identify you during the race. DRIVERS - all of the drivers who are racing. CHASSIS - make and model of the chassis you are racing. MOTOR - manufacturer and model. ESC - manufacturer and model. GEARING - pinion size, spur size, and your internal ratio. FDR must be at least 4.0 TIRES - manufacturer. BODY - manufacturer and model. COLOR - color scheme of your body so we can identify you during the race. SPONSORS - we will announce any sponsors you have during the race.
Please make sure that you have all of this information when you check in to register.
Thank you and have a great race.

If you want to help speed up the registration process, you can provide the necessary information here by copying and pasting the headings listed below and then filling in your information. By doing this, it will save you alot of writing at the registration table.
Thanks.

Jim.

Hey Livewire
Since there are no restrictions on the 1/8 Race, there really isnt much to Tech.
If you're feeling left out, we'd be happy to print you some stickers too lol!
For the next Enduro (Spring 2012) we will look at separating the 1/8 Race into Electric and Nitro.. but for now, it's no holds barred, all out sprint to the finish! Most laps wins the trophy, the title, and the bragging rights!
Mike.
